Myhotmusic Alert - "Sad Face" The Choir

Happy new year to all of you visitors to myhotmusic.com. As it happens im in a pretty nostalgic mood today and as a result i have a couple of myhotmusic alerts from the 80s, both very different sounds and genres but top music.

The Choir "Sad Face".

The Choir are an American CCM (contemporary christian music) band who managed to make great music without being in your face with their faith, but at the same time making you think. You can hear influences from the likes of U2 on this song but the guitars are great and work very well with the vocals which capture the essence of the lyrics. They didnt quite reach the dizzy heights of the CCM genre in the way that Amy Grant and Michael W Smith did but had a niche of their own. You should definitely check out the album "Chase the Kangaroo" which has a timeless quality to it and a lot of good songs mainly aimed at bible belt America with its subtle but strong theme about faith in the real world. Also check out "The Rifleman" on the album as well, quite relevant song for today.

Buy "Chase the Kangaroo"
