Editor's Corner:  Welcome to Myhotmusic's TV channel where we bring you our favourite online films, TV shows and music videos.

Each week we shall have feature 9 videos that we think are important to highlight for a number of reasons. One could be because we just love them and another reason is because of what they bring to the DIY music community.

We are firm believers in professional quailty artist branded channels. Now is the most important time to do this. Your branded channel should be mapped to all your major social networking sites especially Facebook and Twitter. Facebook in particular is very important as it is the default site of choice for millions of people.

Using apps like Static HTML you can embed bits of your website into Facebook so your fans no longer have to leave Facebook to enjoy your content.

One of the most interesting developments over the last 3 years has been the rise of the DSLRs in movie making. To put it mildly this is probably the most important technological development in history as it now enables filmmakers and artists to make stunning videos that are right up ther with film.

Using pro quality stills lenses, filmmakers can now afford shallow depth of field and other pro features that moves them well away from the point and click amatuer camcorders.

The Nikon D90 was the first affordable DSLR camera but it was soon eclipsed by the Canon 5D MkII which is now the industry standard of DSLR cameras but with the price tag to boot. However, there are many other camera models in the fray now and they all offer excellent value. The D90 has now been replaced by the Nikon D7000 which addresses many of the issues with the D90 and also includes a proper stereo mic input.

With all the choice available there are now affordable solutions for the online TV producer. Send us your material and we might even feature them.
