Move over Jacko, Prince is the new King of Pop
Today, Prince's new album makes its debut in the Daily Mail newspaper. Prince has played a blinder and has angered record industry bosses and quite frankly i'm pleased. It is a win win situation for all. Prince get paid, the newspaper gets more readers and the fans get a new album for free. If the record industry are pissed off with this move then they better stop getting angry and start worrying. This move from Prince is the beginning of a mass revolt by musicians and artists who are now realising the days of record companies as we know them are well and truly numbered. The major record industry better move quickly and be more innovative if they want a future. Artists no longer need their capital and will soon look to other industries to fund their releases. Watch out for the next big revolution.
