Stop the Myspace Abuse !

I don't know about you but i am pretty sick and tired of how myspace is being used by almost every artist, club, promoter and street teams. I am totally sick of the amount of junk i get from bands and especially nightclubs inviting me to their shows or attempting to take over my comments page.

Don't get me wrong myspace has its place. But use it as a networking tool to get to know your fans or get to know PEOPLE ! Not to spam us with your stupid event or meaningless record release. Aaaargh !

I am saying this as an artist myself. If you want to make an announcement use the bulletin or your website or your myspace page but don't spam us with it. At the very least, try to be creative. Don't send me a message with 'check out....'. Finally I think myspace music should only be used by bona-fide band members and to make friends with people. At least Lily Allen uses it correctly. Or was that Lily Allen's team of professional myspace spammers ? hmmm.
