The Bionic Woman Returns !

I couldn't resist jumping for joy when I heard that the 'woman of my childhood dreams' returns to our screens. Yes Jaime Sommers is back on TV as the Bionic Woman gets a complete overhaul. All updated in today's high tech, high octane format, with the ubiquitous din of hard rock music (yawn!) and routine sex and skin scenes. For those of us who remember the original 'wholesome' series this is progress in the wrong direction. Also the trademark sound effects and slow motion are gone, which is fair enough but in my opinion an own goal has been scored by the producers here. They have brought in British beauty Michelle Ryan aka Zoe Slater from Eastenders to star as Jaime and from what i've seen she looks the part, apart from her dark brunette hair. She maintains her miserable Eastenders pout which is a shame as she is stunning and from what i've seen it has a more darker/moodier tone. Oh well ! I do hope that they write a decent theme song for the series and please God no heavy rock music. Anyway I found on Youtube the best ever theme music of all time IMHO: The Bionic Woman 1976.
