Myhotmusic Alert - Eedris 'Jaga Jaga'

Nigerian pop music has always had it's fair share of political artists from Fela Kuti to, Terra Kotta. Now enter Eedris Abdulkareem. With the freshest hip hop sounds blending African and Western music with catchy melodies, humor and a serious message. Jaga Jaga was banned in Nigeria in 2004 by the President. Why ? It paints a pretty dire picture of corruption in Nigeria which is finally being addressed by the government. It makes me wonder. With political artists risking death in Africa, they are still brave enough to speak out against the injustices of the country. I ask myself where are the Bob Dylans, Stings, Morriseys of the modern music industry. Are we all apathetic now ? Anyway enjoy this song by Eedris it's a hit. Check out the rest of the music on his site as well.
