I found this group on myspace and have been playing it fairly regularly. It may not have the sheen of UK or US r&b, but frankly that is it's appeal. Styl-Plus have been going places in Nigeria and are very popular. Now with the abundance of Nigerian 'exiles' or people of Nigerian descent out there in Europe and the US i believe that if any smart label picked this track up and marketed it to radio they will get a decent return. The song is called "Olufunmi" which is the name of the girl in question. The video will make you laugh, it ain't '50 cent' but looks like it cost 50 cents to make but i'm not dissing it. Enjoy the music.

I was terribly shocked yesterday to learn about the tragic death of one of Australia's most popular television personalities. I remember the first time i watched Steve Irwin on television. I was in London at the time and i thought he was a bit of a loudmouth Aussie but he was fascinating to watch. I could never take my eyes of the screen. I warmed to him and enjoyed his style and was only watching him tackle some horrid beastie of a croc the day before.
