I must admit that im really getting into the sound of Lily Allen. Her first song "LDN" was tipped on here a couple of weeks ago and this song "smile" just grabs me in a nice way. Ok it is not going to be for everyone and that's fine, it's just quirky enough, rude enough without being gratuitous and has a lovely reggae influence to it. She raps, she sings, she is funny, weird but fab. I like Lily Allen and thats that. Check it out.
I was relaxing wednesday afternoon after a few hours in the studio when i got a call from a young singer. I checked out her myspace page and well i was quite impressed. Now if you like your soul smooth, sultry and sexy then you gonna love this young lady. Alyson Joyce describes her music as "..pretty cruisy music... what you'd listen to if you were going for a drive or chilling at home with a glass of wine talking to your cat" Well i think most people listening to her would not be "talking to your cat" they would be "stroking the...." ('enough of that' ED). Alyson Joyce has what it takes to be Australia's answer to Corrine Bailey Rae. Perhaps. Im off to open a bottle of the finest wine and well i wont be talking thats for sure.
